49 million Americans and 84,000 Northeast TN citizens suffer from hunger insecurity.  In addition, 3,587 children in Northeast TN are "chronically hungry," meaning that their level of hunger occurs with dreadful consistency.  The level of suffering would increase tremendously if it were not for programs such as SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) and School Breakfast and Lunch programs.

In fact, more than 41,000 children in Northeast TN rely on free/reduced breakfast and lunch programs. The Food Bank needs your voice to uphold these programs and to emphasize to legislators their importance.   Click here for more information on how you can help make a difference.
